1. Introduction

Revive Sharing B.V. (“Revive”, “we”) respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This Privacy Policy explains which data we collect, for what purposes, and what rights you have.

3. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • End Users: individuals who rent or use a power bank via the Revive app or otherwise.
  • Business Contacts: representatives of our hosting partners, dealers, suppliers, and other business partners.
  • Website & App Visitors: anyone visiting our website or contacting us (e.g., through the contact form, email, or phone).

4. Personal Data We Process

App / End Users

  • Account & communication: name, email (optional: phone number)
  • Transaction details: rental history, payment status, payment-method token via payment provider (Revive does not store full card details)
  • App/technical data: device type, app version, crash & performance logs, session information
  • Location data (with your consent): to show nearby stations and enable location-based features
  • Push notification preferences / marketing opt-ins (only with consent)

Hosting Partners (B2B)

  • Business contact details: name, job title, email / phone
  • Contract & invoicing details: company name, address, VAT / Chamber of Commerce, IBAN
  • Correspondence

Website & support

  • Functional and limited analytical cookies (see our Cookie Policy)
  • Data you provide yourself (contact form / email / phone)

We do not process any special categories of personal data.

5. Purposes and Legal Bases

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Contractual necessity – Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: account management, rental process, payments, customer support.
  • Legitimate interests – Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: security & fraud prevention, product improvement, basic analytics, support.
  • Legal obligations – Article 6(1)(c) GDPR: tax and record-keeping requirements, responding to authorities.
  • Consent – Article 6(1)(a) GDPR: marketing communications, (precise) location services, cookies requiring consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time via the app/device settings or by using the unsubscribe link.

6. Sharing with Third Parties

  • Payment service providers (e.g., Stripe / Adyen): to process payments; Revive does not store full card details.
  • Hosting / cloud & app-service providers (e.g., Google Cloud / Firebase / AWS): hosting, analytics, crash & performance monitoring, push notifications.
  • Communication & support tools (e.g., Mailjet / SendGrid / Intercom / Zendesk).
  • Accounting / IT support / professional advisors (only where necessary).
  • Authorities when legally required.

We conclude Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all processors.

7. Transfers Outside the EEA

Where personal data are transferred outside the EEA, we apply appropriate safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where necessary, additional measures. For questions: support@revivesharing.com.

8. Retention Periods

  • Contract & invoicing data (B2B & end users): 7 years (legal/tax obligation)
  • Account & rental history: as long as the account is active and up to 12 months thereafter (for admin/security)
  • Support correspondence: 12 months after resolution
  • Logs & analytics: up to 12 months (aggregated/anonymous data may be stored longer)

9. Cookies & tracking

We use necessary cookies and – with your consent – analytical/marketing cookies. Details and storage periods are provided in our Cookie Policy; you can manage your preferences via the cookie banner or your browser settings.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access control, encryption where appropriate, logging, “least-privilege” access, and processor agreements.

11. App Permissions & Location

Certain features require device permissions (e.g., location for nearby stations, camera for QR-code scans, push notifications). You can change these permissions in your device settings. Disabling them may limit some functionality.

12. Automated Decision-Making

Not applicable. Revive does not use automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you (Article 22 GDPR). If this changes, we will update this policy and inform you in advance.

13. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object (including to direct marketing), request data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to support@revivesharing.com. We respond within 1 month (extensions possible in complex cases). You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens): https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

14. Minors

Our services are not aimed at children under 16. If you believe we have collected data about a minor without parental consent, please email support@revivesharing.com; we will delete such data.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at www.revive-sharing.com. For material changes, we will notify you via the website, app, or by email.
